Woohoo! Congrats! What flavour is it? Cyril tried his first attempt last night, he said he is going to challenge my baking skills. Does yours stick to the mat at all? His (and I had the same problem before) got stuck on the parchment and wouldn't come out entirely.
Thanks... I think one of the reason it sticks on the parchment is because the macaron is undercooked. I put them back to the oven and baked a few more minutes and they came off nicely. I used the content from a green tea tea bag to mix with the batter. It looks nice but it has no green tea flavour. I used pastry cream in the centre- too much moisture. I'll use butter cream or ganache next time and will make them smaller. I'm thinking about making black sesame macarons with butter cream...
